Our manifesto is to only supply equipment that we know works well together. Some equipment might have five stars in the hi-fi magazines but if it doesn’t work well with other kit, then we deem it not fit for purpose. Likewise you can have all the best equipment but if the room is not optimal, you’re paying for kit that you’ll never hear or see the best of. At Ideal AV we take a home cinema installation very seriously.

Your Home Cinema Installation

Your bespoke home cinema installation, no matter how big or small, is treated with the same degree of respect and enthusiasm. The initial step is to call or arrange a consultation with our professional, experienced, knowledgeable and friendly installers. This first discussion is around your thoughts and what you’d like to achieve; we will be very happy to listen to your ideas and perhaps offer some advice along the way. It’s completely free. There are absolutely no strings attached.

We love home cinema and are delighted to speak to like minded people, no matter the level of experience.

After the initial discussion, we will invite you to visit our demo rooms. Put your feet up, sit back, relax, and enjoy watching scenes from some favourite movies on our demo equipment. Sample the same piece of video across multiple projectors or the same piece of audio through different AV receivers and speakers. It’s what looks and sounds best to you that is important. A home cinema installation is not about picking the best equipment; it’s about picking the best equipment for you and your environment. We have two demo rooms; one resembles the every day lounge with lots of ambient light while the other is light controlled and perfect for replicating dedicated rooms.

We’re very confident that after a demo at Ideal AV you’ll have a crystal clear picture of the desired home cinema experience.

An on-site visit is always part of a home cinema installation. We will come and survey the room or rooms. We’ll make recommendations for furnishings (sound absorption etc), colours, wiring and equipment locations. By knowing the size of the room and it’s acoustic properties we can firm up and present the ideal equipment path.

Once final decisions have been made and equipment ordered, an installation date will be organised to suit your schedule. On the day itself our installers will arrive and carry out the home cinema installation with the utmost professionalism. 

Once installation of equipment is complete, our certified audio and video calibration experts will configure all equipment to give the best possible results. Connecting and locating the equipment is only half the job. Professional calibration can bring untold clarity and detail to any installation, big or small. It’s a critical part of our service and one we’re very proud of.
