ATI Class A/B Mulitchannel Amplifiers
Please call for price for this brand new range of ATI amplifiers which offer “Pure American Muscle” at very affordable prices, which start at £1750 for the ATI 1822 (2 channel), just add £300 extra per channel so the ATI1823 at £2050 going up to top model AT1827 at £3250.
And remember, every ATI Amplifier purchased in the UK comes with a full 7 years no compromise manufacturers warranty, this just shows the trust we and ATI have in their amplifiers

At 200 Watts per channel, the ATI 1820 Series provides the best price to performance ratio of any amplifiers available. The AT 1820 Series comprises six amplifiers models, The series starts with the two-channel AT1822, and finishes with the seven-channel AT1827.
AT1820 Series amps are passively cooled by large heat sinks. This feature may be especially important in small home theatre installations that can not hide the equipment in a rack or cupboard.
An optically coupled protection circuit automatically shuts down the amplifier in a overload situation, such as when someone accidentally shorts out the amp. Once the protection circuit is engaged. it checks the conditions regularly and restores output automatically when the overload situation is remedied. Since the protection circuit is optically coupled to the audio circuit, there is no direct electrical connection for the protection circuit to affect sound quality, A magnetic circuit breaker provides further protection.
AT1820 Series amps use the same transformer construction as the top-of-the-line Signature AT6000 and AT4000 Series amps. It also uses double-sided glass epoxy circuit boards and the same rugged, powder-coated chassis used in all our products.
AT1820 Series amps include ATI’s Ultra Soft Turn-On circuit. This circuit gradually powers up the amp and will not trip your household circuit breaker or dim the lights when you switch it on. The amps also include a trigger input that allows it to be turned on and off, remotely.
FEATURES:
Convection Cooling with Massive Heat Sinks – The AT1820 Series uses large extruded large heat sinks, one for each amplifier channel.
Huge Toroidal Transformers – The huge transformers used in ATI amplifiers employ high-grade silicon steel cores with bi-filar windings. To reduce crosstalk through the transformer, each amplifier channel gets its own set of secondary transformer windings.
Remote Triggers – All ATI amplifiers feature a 12V trigger that allows them to inter-face with control systems or processors so they can be turned on and off remotely.
Optical Protection Circuitry – This safety feature instantaneously stops current from flowing inthe amplifier’s output under three conditions; 1) an over-current /short circuit condition, 2) high frequency oscillation & 3) over-temperature condition. If activated, this circuit will sample the condition every 10 seconds and restore output when the problem is cleared. In case of an excessive DC offset on any channel, the chassis will shutdown and power will need to be cycled to restore operation.
Ultra-Soft Turn-On – High power amplifiers draw a momentary but tremendous in rush of electrical current when you turn them on. This will not happen because of ATI’s Ultra Soft Turn-On circuitry.
Low Distortion/Low Noise – The exact “nature” of sound is a matter of individual choice and environmental conditions, however distortion and noise are absolutely measurable in any situation. All ATI amps are at the “cutting edge” of the lowest distortion and noise possible.
Amplifier Topology – While there are numerous classes of amplifier design, the AT1820 Series amplifiers use the traditional Class-AB topology.
Amplifier Technologies assembles all of their amps at our Los Angeles, California factory under a combination of careful hand-built and automated procedures. Always built to exacting specifications, quality control, listening and performance testing are constantly performed at their 50,000 square-foot factory.
At the heart of any amplifier is the power supply. Its foundation is the power transformer. For the transformer’s core they use MOH with magnetic properties that increase efficiency 18% over conventional units. Winding the core two wires at a time, a technique called “bifilar winding” that ensures perfectly symmetrical transformers that maximise efficiency and reduce distortion Each amplifier channel gets not only its own set of transformer windings, but its own rectifier and storage capacitors, thus giving each channel its own separate power supply. Even if the left channel is pushed to the limit by, say, a loud car crash on a movie soundtrack, it does not affect the power available to the other channels
Because ATI design there amplifiers for the home as well as the rigorous demands of commercial applications, we use substantial heat sinks for each channel. This results in amplifiers that are absolutely quiet and run as cool as possible. The result: there is no noise to ruin the listening experience and the amplifier operates more efficiently for a longer life
ATI use double-sided FR-4 glass epoxy circuit boards in all their products. Not only does a double-sided board handle twice the electrical current of a single-sided board, it produces much more solid connections to the components on the board. The solder joints that secure the components to the board over both surfaces of the board, plus the inside of the hole into which the component leads are inserted. As a result, the circuit boards are practically perfect, with nearly zero failures due to bad connections or cold-solder joints.
The components used on the circuit boards also add to the quality of ATI products. To insure that each and every circuit board functions exactly like the last, all of the gain stages in our products employ high-quality metal-film resistors with 1-percent tolerance.
Gold plated RCA jacks and robust XLR connectors with gold contacts on our amplifiers are mounted directly rear chassis panel and not to the circuit board. While this technique complicates the assembly process, the result is a more robust connection and the jack cannot be accidentally broken off by tight-fitting audiophile RCA plugs or heavy XLRs.
ATI amplifier employ lightning-fast optically-coupled protection circuits that are completely removed from the signal path so they cannot affect the sound quality. These protection circuits sense electrical “shorts” in speakers or wiring and sense electrical “spikes”. If triggered, the circuit instantaneously disengages the output, samples the affected circuitry every 10 seconds and automatically restores proper operation when the fault is corrected. This special feature minimises the chance of your amplifier going out of service just when you’ve filled your home theatre with expectant guests.
